About this course
Somewhere between six months and two years, the dog who nailed every cue starts staring through you like you're a stranger. Nothing is wrong and nobody failed — the adolescent brain is being rewired, hormones have the wheel, and the environment just got far more interesting than you. This course walks you through the biology, the secondary fear period where the trash can becomes a monster, the breed timelines (small dogs grow up fast; Labs and Mastiffs can be teenagers for three years), the feathered version for parrot households, the name-game reboot, jaw-testing chewing, the expired puppy pass at the park, the return of the long line and the treat pouch, and the supervision a teenager needs around smaller pets. Then it reminds you that this age group is surrendered to shelters more than any other, and that the calm adult on the other side is worth every shredded cushion.

- Selective hearing and the daily name-game reboot with upgraded rewards
